There have been a number of train the trainer sessions taking place across Cheshire & Merseyside in order to continue rolling out the programme and increasing the workforce who have the tools required to deliver wellbeing messages to members of the public.

Joanne and Laura, Wellbeing Coordinator’s from Healthy Knowsley Service said of the training:

“We have been delivering MECC for three years now across Knowsley. The opportunity came along for us to attend a Train the Trainer MECC session provided by Halton Health Improvement team.

The day was really good, it gave us the opportunity to reflect on the training we deliver and how we can modify our slides and bring them up to date. The day also gave us the opportunity to meet people who are also delivering or about to start delivering MECC and we were able to discuss resources and websites available to use in session, which we didn’t know were available.

The training was a great support as we also looked at challenges to delivering MECC and how we can overcome these. We’d recommend anyone already delivering MECC or about to start to attend this session, as it’s informative, friendly and a great resource.”
